IN-HOUSE HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
Save time and costs by having Safety Training Plus as your In-House Health and Safety Officer, responsible for the monitoring and controlling of health and safety compliances and related rules and regulations in your organization that will offer your company the following Health and Safety Services:
- Conduct, promote, and coordinate regular safety and environmental programs relevant to your company.
- Safety services for shut downs and work projects- including Confined Space Coordinator Services.
- Compliance with COR and ISO processes.
- Maintenance of Indocs for Vale, Glencore, NORCAT and other site
- Contribute to the creation/revision of Health and Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs.
- Conduct inspections of your worksites/facilities.
- Conduct any investigation of accidents and injuries.
- Complies and submits accident reports required by your company and regulatory agencies (WSIB).
- Maintains safety files as per companies’ policies.
- Assist in planning safety meetings with Supervisors.
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assists with the Health and Safety orientation process of new employees.
- Development, implementation and follow up on company Health & Safety Polices/Procedures and ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
- Work closely with JHSC (Joint Health and Safety Committee if applicable)
- Complete Monthly workplace inspections and conduct field audits.
- Maintain employee training records and organize training updates as required.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
- Maintain training certification in Standard First Aid & CPR, and other training courses as required by your company.
- Ensure that your companies Health and Safety program is followed by staff.
